Mother Care Orphanage (Ghana)
Heart and Sight Rescue Initiative (Ghana Team) carried out a comprehensive vision screening and treatment program at the Mother-Care Orphanage in Agona Jacob, Ghana. This initiative focused on children aged 6 months to 7 years, aiming to eliminate avoidable blindness and improve ocular health among vulnerable populations.
The program included thorough eye examinations, the provision of treatment for various vision problems, and raising awareness about the importance of eye care. By addressing preventable vision issues, the Heart and Sight Rescue Initiative helped ensure that these children could thrive academically and socially without the hindrance of untreated visual impairments.
